BIC organizes the declaration ceremony of decision appointment of new CEO

The declaration ceremony was attended and witnessed by Mr Phung Ngoc Khanh, Director of Insurance Supervisory Authority Department (Ministry of Finance), Mr. Phung Dac Loc, Secretary General of the Association of Vietnamese Insurers and the officers and staff of the Insurance Supervisory Authority Department and Association of Vietnamese Insurers. The ceremony also had the participation of Mr. Tran Bac Ha, Chairman of the BIDV BOD, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tua, member of the BOD, the leaders of the BOD, Supervisory Board, Board of Management, with leaders of relevant units in the BIDV and BIC.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tua, member of the BOD, appreciated the performance of the BIC over the years, confirming the brand in the market of non-life insurance and be one of the subsidiaries with most effective business performance in BIDV system. The appointment of Mr. Ton Lam Tung to work in BIDV and Tran Hoai An to hold the position of BIC’s CEO on the one hand to meet the needs of business development in the new period of the BIDV, on the other hand, to strengthen management apparatus of BIC, contributing to successful implementation of the key objectives in 2014 and the business orientation of the BIC in the coming years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hoai An, new CEO of BIC, said that it was just an honor and a challenge for himself. Mr. An committed, along with the BOD, officers and employees of BIC, to build a growing BIC system, becoming one of the six largest insurance companies in the market, reputable insurance brands in domestic and international scope, continuing to consolidate as one of the main business activities of BIDV.
